Which creationists are the major players in the creation vs. evolution debate? Which have the best scientific credentials?

Major Players

Because Answers in Genesis is now the most well-known anti-evolution organization, Ken Ham, their president, is the most well-known—and perhaps the most influential creationist.

Other major players include:

Henry Morris, Institute of Creation Research
Walt Brown
Kent Hovind, Dr. Dino (now in jail for tax evasion)
Duane Gish
George Howe, Creation Research Society

As I've said on other pages, I do not like to use the term creationist, as though these believers accept creation while theistic evolutionists, like myself, do not. It's not true. I am a creationist because I believe that God created all things, but I do not reject evolution.

Most Credentialed Creationists

Well-known or not, some young earthers have advanced scientific degrees, work in important positions, and have had papers published in scientific journals.
